Kenya’s Private Sector Rebounds in September
September data shows Kenya’s private sector expanded as the Stanbic PMI rose to 51.9 from 49.4 in August, marking the first month of growth since April. The recovery was broad, with the exception of construction, which saw a sharp output drop. Economists view this as a sign the economy is regaining momentum after the disruption from mid-year protests. The strength comes as Q2 GDP growth hit 5.0 %, up from 4.6 % a year earlier.
